Case Western Reserve University acceptance rate

PreMD does not publish an acceptance rate for individual schools. The free national sources publish applications and matriculants, not the number of offers a school made, so an acceptance rate cannot be calculated from them without inventing the missing number.

What can be published from those figures is the ratio: Case Western Reserve University received 9,454 applications for 216 seats in the entering class, or about 43.8 applications per seat.

Community college coursework: If ALL science pre-requisites were taken at a community college, we strongly recommend that you take at least a year of upper-level sciences from an accredited four-year degree granting university within the United States or Canada. If a few science pre-requisites were taken at a community college, we will evaluate them on a case-by- case basis.

Case Western Reserve University interview

We conduct traditional one on one interviews: University Program: one faculty and one medical student interview LCP: two faculty and one medical student + a small group activity MSTP: 6-7 interviews, including a medical student interview

PreMD reads that as a one-on-one interview, and sets up its interview practice for this school accordingly.

in mid-late August 2026

Interview days include interviews and interactions with faculty members and medical students. They also include information sessions, a virtual tour, and interactive activities. Interview days at our school are full day events that also allow interviewees to get to know us and to get a feel for our student body, community, and educational environment. All of our interviewers have participated in implicit bias training. Opportunities to attend periodic online "meet & greets" with our student groups (SNMA/LMSA, LGBTQ+, First Gen, and Parents & Partners) are available to all interviewees. Additionally, our medical students host "You Do IQ" sessions to give interviewees an opportunity to get a taste of how small group learning works in the University Program.

Case Western Reserve University rankings

PreMD does not publish a ranking of medical schools and does not republish anyone else's. Ranking tables are licensed products, and a number reproduced here without its methodology and its year is worse than no number at all.

What this page publishes instead is the comparison above: where the school's own reported figures sit among the MD programs that report the same figure, with the count of reporting programs stated so the comparison can be judged.
